I never knew that my natural character trait to easily interact with all types of people would allow me to help my clients break down their walls and reveal the best of themselves through their photographs.

Photography wasn’t in the plan when I first started out. I completed design school and married my best friend who in turn gave me my best buddy, our son. Those three things I know as my passions. Well, but then there is my Lakers, Star Wars, of course Sting and anything Martin Scorsese has ever directed.

I digress - all along my camera strapped around my torso during my worldly travels kept quietly nudging me. Thankfully, my wife nudged me louder and the flood gates to photography broke open. She supported me through the lean years and surprisingly I became part of a new trend of work from home dads. So I work at home raising my best buddy and working in my beautiful home studio.

I tend to seek the best of the best to learn from in each field. Early on I knew Peter Hurley was someone I wanted to learn from. He is arguably the best head shot photographer in the nation if not the globe. I can proudly say after all my hard work Peter is my mentor and now I am a Peter Hurley-PH2 Associate.

I guess my natural character trait is a great trait to have after all. A good trait I’m hoping rubs off on my personal hero, my son Diego, along with passion for the work that I do. I love what I do and it doesn’t feel like work. Wow, that’s a biggie and I can’t tell you in words how much happiness I get from giving people a photograph of themselves as I see them—confident and approachable.

All in all what I have learned throughout the years and keep learning shows in my body of work. I chose to specialize in portraiture and head shots. Focusing (no pun intended) my energy in what I can do with my camera to perhaps change the way someone sees themselves means the world to me. I don’t take that for granted one bit.

My role in your future is very important to me. My commitment to you once you enter my studio is 100% for you and only you. My confidence level is always high knowing that we both will create some of the best images you’ve ever seen.

I wear my commitment and my passion for what I am gifted to do in this world on my sleeve.
Thank you for trusting me.
Sincerely,
Jerry Camarillo
